The foundation is named in memory of Casey? S eight years old son, Barrett “Bear” Krupa, who died after a courageous battle of five and a half with Wilms’ tumor, a pediatric cancer.
before his death on 9 January 1993, Bear and his mother discussed and planned the training needs of the bear. During his long stay in hospital, Bear expressed more concern for other pediatric cancer patients who had himself done. He and his mother learned of the many hidden needs of the patient and the family. Simple things like the demand, games, a long way to the heavy burden that will soothe children to play face. Also supporting the family’s basic needs such as transportation and parking in the lot of hospital visits, to avoid unnecessary stress to a situation in itself to overcome overwhelming.
